Wow, it’s the end of the school year already! I always like to get the kids involved in making a small gift for their teacher at the end of the year. This paper-mache cupcake was a fun way for them to make a craft for their teacher that also doubled as a gift box. Continue reading How To | Cupcake Gift Box

Oh my gosh, can you believe Summer is here already? If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter you have seen I have been traveling more than usual and that has put me behind at home. I love to have a crafty post for the blog every week, but after traveling it seems the day-to-day chores have fallen a little behind. Continue reading How To | God Bless America Wooden Stacker

Happy Mother’s Day to every Mom and Grandma out there. When I came down the stairs this morning my kids all jumped out and yelled, “Happy Mother’s Day”. I wish I would have had my video camera because someday I would love to look back and watch how excited they were to surprise me with their handmade cards, gifts and notes. They also left this little note written with Scrabble Tiles on the table for me. Charlie asked me if there would be candles today, like on cake. Last night while I gave the younger three baths my oldest daughter who is 8 finished cleaning the kitchen, straightened everyone’s covers for bed time and filled all their sippy cups with water, “because it is the night before Mother’s Day”.
Too sweet for words…

While I was at SNAP! one of the sponsors I met was FamilyShare.com. I was instantly intrigued by the name because I like to tout that my website focuses on crafts for kids and families. I felt that FamilyShare.com and I might have a connection. So do we? Continue reading Review | FamilyShare.com

Looking for a last minute Mother’s Day project? I just made this today and I admit it is for me. Don’t you just want to capture their little (or not so little) hand print size forever? And check out the cute heart in the palm of their hands. I came up with this project based upon the quote, “Mother’s hold their children’s hands for awhile, but their hearts forever.” Continue reading How To | Mother’s Day Hand Print Craft

This past Sunday my sisters and I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law. We had a beautiful shower with brunch and games and of course lots of cutie pie baby gifts for her to open. Instead of buying her a corsage to wear I created one for her using a pacifier. This is so easy to do and makes a great keepsake to put in the baby’s room. Continue reading How To | Pacifier Wrist Corsage

We didn’t go anywhere for Spring Break this year. I decided we should focus on exploring new things that are nearby during break. Since we just moved back to the area where my husband and I both grew up, everything is familiar to me, but new to my children. I have been waiting for the right time to try out Geocaching and thought our week of exploration was the perfect opportunity. Continue reading How To | Geocaching with Kids

Okay, I know I am getting carried away with this Angry Bird stuff. But these are actually from Valentine’s Day. Remember those warm fuzzy friend Valentines my daughter made? Well, my son wanted nothing to do with them and instead came up with these Angry Bird pom-pom ball friends himself. They are quite easy to make and boys get a kick out of tossing them around! Continue reading How To | Angry Bird Craft and Treat
