Now some of you may not know this about me, but I am not a "cooker" (Lorelei's word for baking). Crafting all day, oh yes please! Cooking or baking, who me, I'll pass. That is not to say that I don't know how to cook or bake, I do. (Thanks Mom.) I just, well to put it bluntly, hate it.
So if you are like me and you want to do an easy baking project with your kids, this is for you! I saw this recipe in Real Simple Magazine back in 2008, been saving it ever since. Here is the link. (See I really don't want to bake.) My only change to the recipe is to add more chocolate chips to each one!
These are the directions I copied off of their website:
- 1 8-count tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped semisweet chocolate
- Heat oven to 375° F.
- Unroll the dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place about 10 chocolate chips on the bottom third of each triangle and roll the dough up around the chocolate.
- Transfer the croissants to a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper, if desired, for easier cleanup). Bake until golden brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
