Have I told you about our baby we have renamed Truffle? Remember the truffles we made earlier in the week? Little Charlie has grown addicted to them. If everyone eats their dinner, then afterward we let them have a truffle or other small treat. The other night Lorelei gets the truffle container out of the fridge and brings it over to Steve to open. Steve is feeding Charlie and when Charlie sees what is in the container he goes crazy. He starts clapping his hands (signing more), then flailing his arms, then pointing and yelling and moving all around in his chair leaning toward the container of truffles. He has a crazed look in his eye and he is pumped up! Steve and I were laughing at him. Here is a picture of him after he ate the truffle, not all in one bite mind you, but if he could have he would have. That night when I tried to put him to bed it took at least 45 minutes. It may have had something to do with the chocolate caffeine high was on.
On Sunday we also visited with our dear friends the Nik and Joy. They drove out to Steve's brother's house to drop off an early Christmas present for Andy. We spent the day reminiscing and visiting. Both Joy and Kara are expecting in April 2010. It was a fun laid back day for all of us. Lorelei got a little bored, it must be her age, and decided to clean Andy and Kara's entry way for them. Hmmm, why doesn't she do that at home?
