Advent Activities: Pretzel Hugs or Kisses

On Sunday morning after church the kids helped me make Pretzel Hugs. It was the perfect baking activity for them. No mess and no mixing (my favorite). They helped me lay out the pretzels and then lay Hershey's Kisses on top. We popped them in the oven until the chocolate was soft and then pushed the M&M's into the chocolate. Lorelei was excited because some of them were going to be for her party at school on Tuesday. The worst part about the pretzel treats is that they are perfectly bite size and way too easy for me to pop right into my mouth when I am looking for a little snack. The kids like to pull the kisses off and eat that part first and then eat the pretzel.

Lorelei also made Santa ornaments from a kit all by herself. She is very territorial in her crafting and often does not want any help from me. Hmm, where does she get that from?
