Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We made it through all the festivities and survived. I am exhausted from it all, still trying to heal up from the C-Section and not do too much. (Ha, ha, ever tried to do that with four kids at Christmas?)
Santa delivered our presents on Christmas Eve. We spent the whole day at home as a family hanging out and enjoying doing nothing. Christmas day we traveled to celebrate with the George side and spent the night so we could celebrate the day after with the Smith side. The kids were really worn out by the time we arrived back home late Sunday night.
On Monday I could have cried when I looked at all the stuff we accumulated over the holidays. We unloaded our van and the house was a mess. Lots of work to get unpacked and find homes for all the toys and trinkets. Then I had to spend time downloading software for Tag Readers and MP3 players. I am feeling better about all the chaos today. Not as many toys are scattered across the living room floor. Husband is back at work, probably sitting at his desk utterly exhausted and thankful to get a small break from all of us.
One of the best parts of my Christmas is seeing the excitement on the faces of my kids as they open gifts and find something they love. I decided to post links to their best-loved gifts of this Christmas season.
Allan is 4 years old and his favorite gifts are:
- Alex Giant Art Jar
- Four Elements Alternative Blocks

Charlie was loving Christmas this year. He was all about opening presents and then he would ohh and ahh when he saw what he got. It was super fun to watch him get excited about every present.

- Umbrella (the other two kids have their own and he has been coveting them forever)
- B Meowsic Keyboard
- Bristle Blocks
- John Deere Roll N’ Go Flashlight
What great gifts did your kids get? I am always looking for ideas for Birthdays and Christmas…
